“Today is a special day for children with cancer in Bucharest. They are seeing their new pediatric oncology hospital for the first time. Our Máxima colleagues Linda de Koning-Smits and Renske Karens are helping with this move-in.

Prof. Dr. Rob Pieters, CMO and pediatric oncologist Princess Máxima Center: ‘We congratulate the Dăruiește Viață foundation and the Marie Curie Hospital in Bucharest, Romania with this great milestone, and wish all the children, parents and staff every success in their new home.

As Princess Máxima Center, Europe’s largest pediatric oncology center, we feel a duty to help children outside the Netherlands as well. In this way, we can contribute to better care and research for children with cancer worldwide. And thereby we make bigger leaps, also for children with cancer in the Netherlands. That is why the Princess Máxima Center works with great enthusiasm structurally with the Marie Curie Hospital and the Dăruiește Viață foundation that made the new pediatric oncology center possible.'”
