Daniela Arce Cabrera: Uniting for Better Childhood Cancer Care at the ProFILE Northeast Meeting
Daniela Arce Cabrera, Secretary / Steering Committee Member at Mexico in Alliance with St. Jude, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“ProFILE Northeast Meeting | MAS (Mexico in Partnership with St. Jude – August 7 and 8, Mexico City
During two intense days of collaboration, connection and reflection, the Northeast Meeting of ProFILE (Pediatric Oncology Facility Integrated Local Evaluation) was held, created by the St. Jude Measurement and Performance Systems Unit that seeks to carry out a comprehensive and systematic 360° evaluation of prevalent and actionable non-biological factors, as a national context, institution infrastructure, role of multidisciplinary care teams, and communication practices, among others, to provide a better understanding of pediatric cancer outcomes in low- to medium-resource settings and to identify opportunities for improvements in care delivery
The objective: to identify areas of opportunity to continue improving the care and services provided to pediatric patients and their families
It fills me with pride to have been part of this space together with health professionals, members of CENSIA, foundations and representatives of different health sectors (IMSS, ISSSTE, IMSS Bienestar, state SSA, private, among others), all united by the same purpose: to strengthen pediatric hemato-oncology in our country
This meeting is an achievement of MAS and a testimony to the collective commitment to more equitable, timely and quality childhood cancer care

It helps identify opportunities for improvement in the delivery of care
The goal: to identify areas of opportunity to continue improving the care and services provided to pediatric cancer patients and their families
I am proud to have been part of this important gathering alongside healthcare professionals, members of CENSIA, foundations, and representatives from various healthcare sectors (IMSS, ISSSTE, IMSS Bienestar, private institutions), all united by a shared purpose: to strengthen pediatric hemato-oncology in Mexico.
