“I’m deeply honored to receive the National Cancer Institute’s Gold Certificate of Excellence for exceptional achievement in patient enrollments in NCI treatment, cancer control, prevention, and screening trials. This recognition reflects the dedication and teamwork of our entire research group at the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium NCORP.
I’m continually inspired by our team’s commitment to advancing cancer care through clinical trials. Their passion for helping patients access promising new therapies is remarkable. My sincerest thanks to all our investigators, research nurses, coordinators, and support staff who make this important work possible.
Most of all, I’m grateful to our courageous patients who selflessly volunteer for these trials – without them, none of this progress would happen. Their altruism and hope to propel our shared mission to prevent, detect, and treat cancer.
Awards like this energize and motivate us. But our greatest rewards are the breakthroughs that prolong and improve patients’ lives. We still have much work to do, but it’s clear we can achieve great things when we work together. The future is bright.
To all my fellow researchers, keep up the mission! To all people facing cancer, keep the faith! With your help, we will win this fight. Never give up hope.”
