Sally Wolf: If you learned you were dying, would you change how you’re living?
In a post by Sally Wolf, CEO and Founder of LightWorks, on LinkedIn, it says:
“If you learned you were dying, would you change how you’re living?
It’s a question worth asking ourselves regularly, before the question is forced upon us with a clock ticking much faster than we expected or hoped.
This powerful personal essay by Amy Ettinger explores this firsthand, as a healthy-until-diagnosis 49 year old is told she is dying, possibly within months.
And yet she has no regrets because she’s repeatedly said “yes” to life:
• To being her true self.
• To work that lights her up.
• To people she cares deeply about.
All things I’ve personally leaned into on my own cancer journey. While I’ve been gifted much more time, I still embrace these to maximize how I experience life.
It’s a beautiful read, full of examples, reflections, and inspiration. A reminder, to each of us, that while tomorrow is never promised, how fully we live today is entirely up to us.
So circling back to my earlier question: if you learned you were dying, would you change how you’re living? I’d love to know.”
