Breast Cancer Treatment in Low-resource Countries – The Max Foundation
The Max Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In many low-resource countries, life-extending cancer treatment costs as much if not more than a year’s income. Take, for example, the cost of breast cancer treatment in Kenya and Nepal compared to average incomes (according to the wage centre). These costs do NOT include diagnostics, travel, lodging, and other incidental costs which are often paid out-of-pocket.
This is not just a health issue—it’s an equity crisis.
Is that your experience or understanding too?”
