Breaking Down Stigma: Anubha Varma’s Story of Cancer Awareness in Diverse Communities

“People impacted by cancer have an influential role in reaching and empowering communities through their unique stories.
This is particularly important when it comes to breaking down stigma, improving understanding, and promoting prevention and early detection of cancer in culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Anubha Varma became involved with Pink Sari Inc as an advocate in her recovery and life beyond breast cancer. She shared with us how she navigated her cancer journey and why she uses her voice to raise awareness within local South Asian communities.
