Tony Marchand: Excited to Announce our Article on Hematopoietic Stem Cell Regulation
Tony Marchand, MD, PhD. Hematologist at Rennes University Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am delighted to share our latest article, which has just been published in Nature Magazine.
Using mouse models, we demonstrate that the total number of hematopoietic stem cells is regulated at both the local and systemic levels (and not only by the number of available niches). We also reveal the pivotal function of thrombopoietin in controlling the number of hematopoietic stem cells.
It was a privilege to work on this exciting project with an incredible team led by Prof. Paul Frenette during my PhD at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
