“Congrats to our star fellow David O’Reilly
Flying the flag for thoracic oncology in Ireland
Thank you to the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer for launching the careers of so many bright talents around the world, and for ensuring we bring hope to patients through research.”
Quoting IASLC‘s post:
“Congrats to Dr. David O’Reilly, Medical Oncology Fellow at the Beaumont Hospital. One of our 2025 Adi F. Gazdar Fellowship Awardees!
Their project, Multi-omic exhaled breath and plasma biomarkers to predict outcomes from chemo-immunotherapy in patients with advanced NSCLC, aims to develop early, non-invasive methods to assess treatment response in patients with advanced (stage III or IV) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who do not have oncogene-addicted tumors (e.g., ALK or EGFR alterations). Current practice involves CT scans approximately three months after initiating immunotherapy.
We’re excited to see where this research leads, way to go, Dr. O’Reilly!”
