Tyler Seibert: 10-year Results of FLAME Trial is Out Now
Tyler Seibert, Assistant Professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology and a member of the RMAS Center for Precision Radiation Medicine (CPRM), shared a post on X:
“10-year results of FLAME out in Journal of Clinical Oncology
- bDFS (15%), local recurrence
- nodal metastasis
No diff in toxicity—this is a freebie!
DMFS 87% vs 83% (p=0.12).
bDFS
0.40 [95% CI, 0.26 to 0.61]; P < .001
At 90 Gy, recurrence very low.
Regional nodal DFS lower with focal boost. No pelvic nodal RT in this trial 85% (95% CI, 80% to 90%).
Local recurrences very low with high boost dose.
DMFS HR, 0.69 [95% CI, 0.43 to 1.10]; P = .12
Though dose response suggestive. Remember only ~50% of pts in boost arm got a substantial boost.”
