“ABR Oral Board Exam Update
On Monday, July 14, American Board of Radiology leadership met with stakeholders from the ASTRO community to discuss the oral board exam process. It was a productive and collaborative session.
ABR was represented by Drs. Michael Yunes, Brian Davis, Brent Wagner, and Mr. David Laszakovits.
ASTRO attendees included reps from:
•ARRO
•Early Career Committee
•ADROP (program directors)
•SCAROP (chairs)
•ASTRO Board of Directors
Dr. Yunes shared an overview of the current oral board structure and the overall certification pathway. He also provided details on the 2025 exam and, with his ABR colleagues, fielded many questions—especially from ARRO and Early Career reps.
Next Step: A Town Hall at the ASTRO Annual Meeting in San Francisco, open to all in the certification process.
