Immunotherapy has revolutionized treatment in gastrointestinal cancers, with immune checkpoint inhibitors showing remarkable efficacy in dMMR/MSI-H colorectal cancer and select esophagogastric and liver tumors. However, challenges such as resistance, limited efficacy in pMMR tumors, and tumor heterogeneity underscore the need for biomarker-driven, precision-based strategies.”
