Tigran Byuzandyan: Delegation from the National Oncology Center of Armenia Explores Collaboration with Heidelberg University Hospital
Tigran Byuzandyan, Head of Thoracic Surgery and Interventional Pulmonology Department at National Center of Oncology of Armenia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week, a delegation from the National Oncology Center of Armenia visited Heidelberg University Hospital and its renowned Thoraxklinik — a leading European center in the diagnosis and treatment of thoracic diseases.
The visit aimed to explore opportunities for future collaboration in the field of oncology, with a particular focus on advanced approaches in thoracic surgery. From minimally invasive techniques to complex oncologic resections and interdisciplinary tumor boards, the Thoraxklinik stands out as a model of innovation, precision, and patient-centered care.
Beyond thoracic oncology, our team engaged in insightful discussions on broader cancer care strategies, research collaboration, and professional training opportunities across multiple specialties.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our hosts for the warm welcome, openness, and perfectly organized program.
Special thanks to the leadership teams of Heidelberg University Hospital and Thoraxklinik for their time, expertise, and willingness to build bridges for future collaboration.
We are inspired by the shared commitment to excellence and look forward to developing a strong, long-term partnership between our institutions.”
