ESMO recommendations released to provide a roadmap to facilitate the implementation of MTBs in clinical practice

ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“New ESMO recommendations released to provide a roadmap to facilitate the implementation of molecular tumour boards (MTBs) in clinical practice.

The recommendations published in Annals of Oncology provide a structured framework to:

  • Define core MTB composition
  • Establish structured workflows for case selection, data integration & follow-up
  • Set documentation and reporting standards
  • Introduce quality indicators to assess MTB performance

These are some of the key areas to be addressed to foster consistent and effective MTB operations across diverse healthcare environments and to optimise precision oncology.
