Yin Ling Woo: Rose Foundation and Malaysia’s Health Ministry partner for a cervical cancer-free future
Yin Ling Woo, Founding Trustee and Advisor of the ROSE Foundation and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Malaya, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On 14th March 2025, ROSE Foundation and the Ministry of Health Malaysia formalized a partnership that began in 2017 by signing an MOU – marking a significant step toward a cervical cancer-free Malaysia.
What started as a small pilot in five community clinics has now flourished into Program ROSE, a nationwide movement with over 500 community champions, 40 government hospitals, and numerous clinics driving awareness and action.
Through systematic education, advocacy, and collaboration, we are turning vision into reality – something every Malaysian can be proud of.
Looking back, the ROSE journey has been one of learning, resilience, and collective commitment. An idea – a seed – has now blossomed into a national initiative, made possible by the unwavering support of every single one who believed in this vision.”
