“Wave of Hope in Gaza: Advancing Breast Cancer Diagnosis with AI in Palestine.
Our research project, Wave of Hope in Gaza, continues to progress as we build the AI model that will transform breast cancer diagnosis in Palestine!
This initiative, launched by Spark for Innovation and Creativity, is a groundbreaking humanitarian effort under Creating Hope in Conflict: The Great Humanitarian Challenge.
Why is this project critical?
- The Palestinian Ministry of Health recently reported a 5.3% rise in cancer cases, with breast cancer being the most prevalent.
- Wave of Hope addresses this urgent need by enhancing early detection with AI-powered diagnostics.
Our current focus:
- Developing an AI-powered deep learning model for mammogram analysis
- Analyzing 25,000+ mammogram images to enhance diagnostic accuracy
- Empowering Palestinian women with better access to early cancer detection
