“Do you see the happy faces? This is what a great panel discussion looks like! At this year’s European Cancer Forum, we were debating one of my favorite topics, Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
I was emphasizing the need to address the inequalities that we see between member states in resources and outcomes for cancer patients. Improving data availability to ensure we provide value for money for our patients is imperative, but we still have a looong way to go here.
Nevertheless, I’m optimistic that the EBCP and the upcoming mid-term review in 2024 will entice more member states to take action and improve the lives of patients.
