Transcriptional States and Dynamics of Circulating Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes during Immunotherapy
Fumito Ito, Associate Professor of Surgery at University of Southern California, shared on LinkedIn:
“T-cell receptors (TCRs) that recognize the same epitopes may not be the exact TCR clonotypes but have slightly different TCR sequences. In the study, published in JITC, we looked at the changes in the genomic and transcriptomic signatures of these highly homologous T cells during immunotherapy.
Despite their sequence similarities, highly homologous circulating TCR clonotypes observed in tumors (tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL)-TCRs) responded differently to immunotherapy, and exhibited distinct transcriptional signatures that were uniquely distinguished by the expression of GZMK. I’d appreciate the hard work by Drs. Kajihara and Long, and great collaborators.”
