“Earlier this month, our clinicians had the exciting opportunity to present their work at the ESMO Asia 2024. This is an annual event organized by ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology with a focus on multi-disciplinary cancer research in Asia.
This year’s iteration was held in Singapore and saw many of our clinicians selected for poster presentations and invited to participate in conversations and discussions organized by industry partners. The event was thoroughly comprehensive, providing updates and ideas from research findings to clinical trials and treatment strategies, and through to disease management and cancer survivorship.
Joseph J Zhao, Medical Officer at NCIS, who presented a poster at the event shares that ‘ESMO Asia 2024 was a highly enriching experience, offering valuable discussions with international colleagues on our study on peritoneal niche evolution and microenvironmental remodeling in gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis. These insightful interactions have significantly deepened my understanding on the divergent biological phenomena driving organotropism in gastric cancer.’
