“We are excited about the inaugural Cancer Health Disparities Day Event, taking place at the historic House of Commons on November 15, 2024.

This significant event will host distinguished speakers and participants from across the globe, all coming together to address the pressing issues related to inequalities in cancer care. Our aim is to shed light on the disparities that exist within countries and between different nations, fostering a collaborative dialogue on how to improve cancer health outcomes for all individuals. Hence our tagline “From Awareness to Action. Ending Cancer Health Disparities Together”.

Olubukola Ayodele: Inaugural Cancer Health Disparities Day Event

Dr. Olubukola Ayodele is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, specializing in breast and genitourinary malignancies, including germ cell tumors. She is also an honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leicester and heads the Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Unit at the Leicester Cancer Research Centre. Dr. Ayodele’s work includes numerous publications, clinical trials, and collaborative research projects on molecular drivers and biomarkers in breast cancer. She is a member of ASCO, ESMO, ACP and UKBCG.
