“We are excited to announce the third edition of the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Course (PedROC 3.0) – a transformative virtual training initiative shaping the future of pediatric cancer care in sub-Saharan Africa through specialized education.
PedROC is a groundbreaking program designed to bridge the gap in access to specialized training for pediatric cancer treatment in our region. Since its launch in July 2021, PedROC has brought together and trained > 600 HCPs from >40 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and other region.
The upcoming session, scheduled for November 27, 2024, 4:00 PM WAT will focus on “Introduction to Pediatric Radiotherapy for Nurses,” with the sub-theme “Caring for Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults During and After Radiotherapy”
This edition will equip nurses with the essential skills to provide the best care for pediatric cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy, including pain management, patient care, and family support.
