Julien Taieb: Genetic and transcriptomic analyses of early-onset colon cancer
Julien Taieb, Professor at Paris Descartes University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Colon cancer in adult <50 is increasing, we need to move forward in understanding molecular mechanisms underlying this epidemiological phenomenon.
We have published in our new journal ESMO GI oncology a paper on ‘Genetic and transcriptomic analyses of early-onset colon cancer (EOCC): a post hoc analysis of 2973 patients from two adjuvant randomized trials’
Showing minimal differences in these patients as compared to older patients, but this is a first step and more efforts are needed to understand this new entity and find personalized therapeutic options for these patients.
Also follow the ENTERO forthcoming meeting dedicated to patients with EOCC.”
