Maite Gorostegui: Thank you Junious Sichali for sharing your experience with the families in Malawi
Maite Gorostegui, Chair of the SIOP Global Mapping Programme, shared a post by CANCaRe Africa on LinkedIn:
“Thank you Junious Sichali for sharing your experience with the families in Malawi.
It is great seeing how CANCaRe Africa is awakening the Pediatric oncology community, showing us how specific interventions can improve treatment results and save lives.”
Quoting CANCaRe Africa’s post:
“Over the past weeks, I was privileged to spend time on the ward for children with cancer at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi and to join the morning ward rounds of the medical team. It is heartbreaking, at times, to see what these children and families go through. I had a chance to talk with some of the families aiming to get a better understanding of their perspective, challenges and opportunities to support.- Junious Sichali, Social Scientist, CANCaRe Africa”
