The clinical trials of today are tomorrow’s standard of care – Oncogene Cancer Research
Oncogene Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The clinical trials of today are tomorrow’s standard of care.
Yet we often think that clinical trials are for when we’ve run out of treatment options. That said, for patients it’s not easy to navigate clinical trials. Here are some questions patients can consider asking.”
Here are some questions, suggested by Oncogene Cancer Research:
- Mechanism of experimental drug and its effect on their specific cancer.
- The phase, start date and number of patients involved in the trial.
- Safety concerns and experiences of other participants.
- Visiting schedules and reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs.
