Access Cancer Care India – Advancing Cancer Early Detection

In a post by

Checking off another milestone in our project as we embark on an intensive training program this week. We’re equipping our dedicated site investigators with the necessary tools and knowledge to conduct baseline investigations for the study. These tools will serve as invaluable instruments in gathering data that can shape the interventions that will be implemented in three states in India.

What makes this training truly exciting is the two-way learning experience it offers. Our remarkable site investigators bring their expertise and passion for cancer research to the table, enriching our understanding of the Indian healthcare landscape and the challenges it presents. Simultaneously, our team of trainers provide the investigators with specialized training, empowering them with the skills to administer the tools effectively.

The beauty of this two-way learning process lies in the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. It is through collaboration that we can bridge gaps, find innovative solutions, and ultimately play a part in improving cancer early detection and subsequent care in India. Together, we are paving the way for a future where early cancer detection becomes a reality for all.

I am incredibly proud to be a part of this project, one of the first that I started working on when I came to IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization

If you’re interested in our work, do reach out to us and we’re happy to share anything we can at this stage. Together, we can make a difference. Dr Kunal Oswal, Ishu Kataria, Rohit Rebello, Partha Basu, Richard Sullivan, Arnie Purushotham, swaminathan rajaraman, Bindhya vijayan, Moni Abraham Kuriakose, RITA ISAAC.”
