Stacy Hurt: Due to caregiving for Emmett, I never thought I’d see Europe

Due to caregiving for Emmett, I never thought I’d see Europe. I told everyone, “I’ve been to Epcot. I’m good.” But because my company believes so strongly in representing the patient and caregiver voice in oncology clinical research and thanks to my incredible and selfless husband Drew Hurt, this stage IV cancer survivor/Patient Ambassador is going to the European Society for Medical Oncology 2023!

I shed more than a few tears leaving my very special son for such a far trip, but I know he’s in great hands. This girl has a backpack and a dream to make advocacy and patient involvement an “early engagement must have” in clinical trials and she’s taking it global.
