Vincent Rajkumar: The United States can save 5 to 10 billion a year on lenalidomide if it did what other countries do
Vincent Rajkumar, Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic, shared a thread on X/Twitter:
“The United States can save 5 to 10 billion a year on Lenalidomide if it did what other countries do.
1) Facilitate easier generic entry and prevent companies from making deals that delay generic entry.
2) Medicare negotiation for prescription drugs which >80% of the public supports. It’s not just Lenalidomide. Most prescription drugs are way more expensive in the US than other countries.
More here in this thread.”
