“Our article on “low-risk TNBC” has been included in Elsevier’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month article collection!
This article discusses the challenges provided by Triple-Negative Breast Cancers (TNBCs) risk stratification and sheds light on their clinical and molecular characteristics.
Here’s a sneak peek into what our research entails:
Triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC) are known for their heterogeneity and challenging clinical course. However, within this group, there exists a spectrum of low-risk TNBCs with minimal metastatic potential.
These include salivary gland-type tumors, those with extensive apocrine differentiation and/or high TILs, and small-sized early-stage TNBCs.
The challenge lies in de-escalating treatment for these low-risk TNBCs due to the lack of dedicated clinical trials and cancer registries.
We address the diagnostic challenges and highlight crucial biological characteristics that underpin their favorable clinical course.
