Bente Mikkelsen: Coming together to turn commitment into reality and eliminate cervical cancer
Bente Mikkelsen shared on LinkedIn:
“Amazing session this morning to talk to countries, experts and advocates about how we can come together to turn commitment into reality and eliminate cervical cancer. Engaging conversation from the panel: Benda Kithaka, Karen Nakawala, Lisa Huang, Gracia Violeta Ross Quiroga, Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu.
They shared some of the challenges we face in advocacting for strong actions on cervical cancer, but also highlighted the amazing works that are done in countries, including engaging religious leaders to deliver important messages on HPV vaccination and the prevention of cervical cancer.
Thank you all for this important conversation. And we look forward to seeing all of your work highlighted this year on November 17 Cervical Cancer elimination day of action.”
