Today is World Blood Donor Day… Many of us are alive today as a result of some blood donation – Amb. Grace B. Charrier
Quoting Amb. Grace B. Charrier on LinkedIn, “Today is World Blood Donor Day and this year’s theme is:
“Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.”
This theme aims to make people aware of the patients who need blood transfusion and to thank those who have been generous with their blood or plasma.
The need for safe blood is universal but sadly, accessibility to safe blood in low to middle income communities is prevalent.
Many of us are alive today as a result of some blood donation, a noble practice that continues to save millions of lives.
