Julie Brahmer received Paul A. Bunn Scientific Award
WCLC is a major international event focused on the latest advancements in lung cancer research, treatment, and patient care. Organized by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), this conference brings together researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to share knowledge, discuss innovations, and collaborate on strategies to improve outcomes for lung cancer patients.
This year, WCLC24 is being held in San Diego, from September 7th to 10th. During this event, Julie Brahmer received Paul A. Bunn Scientific Award. The Paul A. Bunn Scientific Award is presented by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC). It honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of lung cancer research. The award is named after Paul A. Bunn Jr., a prominent figure in lung cancer research who has made notable contributions to understanding and treating the disease.

Julie Brahmer, MD is Co-Director of the Upper Aerodigestive Department within the Bloomberg Kimmel Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. She is the is the Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program, Professor of Oncology at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins and the Marilyn Meyerhoff Professor in Thoracic Oncology.
