“The Expert Working Group of the European Commission Initiative on Cervical Cancer (EC-CvC) will begin its review of the latest evidence on cervical screening during a meeting on 20–22 August 2024 at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). This review is the first stage of a structured process to update guidelines and recommendations for cervical cancer care and services in the EU. Drawing on its international experience in generating and synthesizing evidence, the Early Detection, Prevention, and Infections Branch at IARC is leading the initiative, in collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (EC-JRC).”
