FOX29 Anchor Mike Jerrick Advocates Prostate Cancer Screening Following His Own Diagnosis and Surgery
Michael Eugene Joseph Jerrick (born July 3, 1950), a news anchor and Co-host of “Good Day Philadelphia” on FOX29, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May. Dr. Daniel Lee, a urologist from Penn Medicine, recommended a prostatectomy after determining that the cancer was likely to spread.
Recently, Mike gave an interview on FOX29 about his surgery.
Regarding this, Penn Medicine – Abramson Cancer Center shared a post on X:
“Mike Jerrick wants men over 40 to get screened for Prostate Cancer. Diagnosed this past May after routine testing, Jerrick underwent surgery at Penn Medicine and was able to return to TV last week.”
