Erman Akkus: May immune-inflammation stimulation by vaccines interact with MSI-H status?
Erman Akkus, Medical Oncology Fellow at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, shared on X:
“We have performed a hypothesis-generating case control study
dMMR (MSI-H) is associated with immune infiltration-activation, so, may immune-inflammation stimulation by vaccines interact with MSI-H status?
Among non-metastatic CRC patients diagnosed during Covid pandemic:
- Patients with dMMR CRC had significantly higher mRNA-based (BNT162b2) vaccine before diagnosis.
- No difference in CoronoVac.
- dMMR-BNT162b2 group had higher CRP, sedimentation and lower lymphoctye/CRP ratio at the diagnosis.”
