“Hot take from a close friend in healthcare (who prefers to remain anonymous):

“For a decade, we have glorified big tech..big tech’s bark in healthcare has always been bigger than it’s bite. What are big tech’s real healthcare achievements?”

“And big tech—by fueling unmoderated platforms for mass misinformation—has done more to hurt public health than it will ever help and largely gets a free ride on this topic…and all the while still gets celebrated for its healthcare efforts.”

I think the potential remains for massive positive impact—but the latter point is quite provocative.
