Speakers of the 2025 CACA-OncoDaily-SPCC Cancer Summit: Bridging Continents
The 2025 CACA-OncoDaily-SPCC Cancer Summit is scheduled to take place on January 15, 2025.
The event will be held via Zoom Webinars and will feature simultaneous translation in English and Chinese.
The summit will be held at the following times:

- US Eastern Standard Time: 01:00-03:00 AM
- Central European Time: 07:00-09:00 AM
This summit aims to foster international collaboration and dialogue among experts in the field of oncology, focusing on advancements in cancer care and treatment strategies. Participants can expect discussions on innovative practices, research findings, and the integration of various approaches to improve patient outcomes in cancer care.
Organized by the China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), OncoDaily, Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC), and the World Association for Integrative Oncology (WAIO), this event underscores the importance of collaboration in addressing the challenges faced in oncology today.
Speakers
Qimin Zhan
Qimin Zhan is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and serves as the Peking University Boya Chair Professor. He is theDeputy Director of the University Council and the Dean of the Peking University International Cancer Institute as well as the National Institute of Health Data Science at Peking University. Additionally, he is the Director of the Molecular Oncology Laboratory at Beijing Cancer Hospital and the Dean of the School of Medicine at Suzhou University. He has previously held positions as the Executive Vice President of Peking University and the Director of the Peking University Health Science Center.
Qimin Zhan has received Changjiang Scholarship of Ministry of Education. He is also a winner of the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars and the national candidate of New Century Talent Project. He’s a chief expert of Innovation Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a Chief scientist of the National Program on Key Basic Research Project of China (973 Program). He has been awarded Honorary Professorship at Kings College and University of Manchester, Visiting Professorship at Juntendo University and Keio University.
He currently serves as Chairman of Chinese Society of Microcirculation, Vice President of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Vice President of China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, and Chairman of the Overseas Physicians division of the Western Returned Scholars Association. He is the Director of the Strategic Council for Biotechnology Development, Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Innovation Committee of National Health Commission, Convenor of the 8th Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council, and Member of the Fifth Committee of National Science and Technology Awards.
Ying Wang
Prof. Ying Wang serves as vice president of China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), vice president of International Cancer Patient Coalition(ICPC), Secretary General of Asian Oncology Society (AOS) and World Association for Integrative Oncology(WAIO), Executive Associate Editor-in-Chief of Holistic Integrative Oncology (HIO). From 1987-1988, she got her training in palliative care at Royal Marsden Hospital, London, UK and further study in Cancer Pain Management in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA in 1995.
Prof. Ying Wang has been appointed as the Vice President of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital since 1998 until 2014 in charge of research, education, intentional exchanges and clinical trial. She has a long history of participation with CACA by serving as a member of board of director since 1997 and has been dedicated to improve capacity building of CACA with great achievement. From 2012 to 2022, she serves as the Secretary General of CACA. In 2022, she was elected as the Vice President of CACA.
Matti Aapro
Matti Aapro is the President of SPCC (Sharing Progress in Cancer Care), medical oncologist and member of the Board of Directors at Genolier Cancer Center, in Switzerland. He was the President of the European Cancer Organisation for 2020 and 2021. He is a Board member of All.Can and member of the Scientific Advisory Board of ESO (European School of Oncology).
He has been a board member of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and President of MASCC (Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer). He has also been a member of the Executive Board of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). He chaired the Scientific and Organizing Committees of the World Cancer Congress of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) in 2008 and 2010. He is an honorary editor of Critical Reviews in Oncology/Hematology and Chairman of the Editorial Board of OncoDaily Medical Journal.
Gevorg Tamamyan
Gevorg Tamamyan is the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of OncoDaily, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Hematology and Pediatric Oncology at Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU), President of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology Asian Continental Branch (SIOP Asia), President of the Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean (POEM) Group, CEO of the Immune Oncology Research Institute,Chairman of the Board and Co-founder of the Institute of Cancer and Crisis.
He is also the Adviser to the Rector of YSMU. He was the Head of the Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Armenia, the Chairman of ASCO IDEA Steering group. He is a co-founder of the Armenian Association of Hematology and Oncology and the City of Smile Foundation.
Julie Gralow
Julie Gralow is the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Previously, she was the Jill Bennett Endowed Professor of Breast Cancer at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Professor in the Clinical Research division of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, as well as Director of Breast Medical Oncology at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She is the founder of the Women’s Empowerment Cancer Advocacy Network (WE CAN). Dr. Gralow received the ASCO Humanitarian Award in 2018 for her work in empowering women cancer patients and survivors globally.
Daiming Fan
Professor Daiming Fan is the member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, International member of the USA and French National Academy of Medicine, President of World Association for Integrative Oncology(WAIO), the President of Asian Oncology Society(AOS), President of China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), President of the Asia Pacific Digestive Week Federation, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union for International Cancer Control (2018-2022), Past Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Past President of Asia Pacific Association of Gastroenterology.
Prof. Fan specialized in both clinical and basic research into digestive diseases, especially gastrointestinal cancers. He has obtained numerous prestigious awards for his outstanding achievements, including several National Science and Technology Progress Awards. He was the first awardee of the Prize “French National Academy of Medicine-Servier”, and received the 2019 Masters of the WGO Award. As editor-in-chief, he has authored 158 gastroenterology and oncology books, published over 700 peer review articles on international journals and serves as editor for 15 international medical journals. He is Editor-in-Chief of Holistic Integrative Oncology (HIO).
Isabel Rubio
Isabel Rubio is the President-Elect of the European Cancer Organisation. She is the Head of the Breast Surgery Oncology Unit and Director of the Breast Cancer Centre Clinica Universidad de Navarra, Madrid, Spain. She is a Professor of Surgery at the Universidad de Navarra. Until recently, she was the President of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and was previously the President of the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists (EUSOMA) and President of the Spanish Association of Breast Surgeons. Isabel was also Co-Chair of 2024 European Cancer Summit.
Jiong Wu
He is the Executive Vice President and Chief Physician at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, where he also serves as a Doctoral Advisor. He holds the position of Director of the Drug Clinical Trial Institution and is the first President and Executive Director of the China Anti-Cancer Association Committee of Integrative Breast Cancer Society (CACA-CIBCS), which includes CBCS and eight other professional societies.
Additionally, he is a former President of the China Anti-Cancer Association Committee of Breast Cancer Society (CACA-CBCS) and currently serves as the President of the Breast Group within the Chinese Society of Oncology, Chinese Medical Association (CMA). He is also the Vice President of both the Committee of Breast Surgeons and the Committee of Oncology at the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA). Furthermore, he acts as the Chief Supervisor of the Board of Directors for the Shanghai Anti-Cancer Foundation Association (SHACFA) and is the Executive Director of the Ninth Council of the Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association.
Guillermo Luis Chantada
Guillermo Luis Chantada is the President of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology. He is an associate member of the Oncology Service of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, Barcelona, Spain. He is Principal Researcher of the National Council of Research in Argentina (CONICET).
He is the Scientific Director at the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Service of the Hospital Universitario Austral, Argentina and at the Hemato-oncology service of the Hospital Pereira Rossell in Montevideo, Uruguay. He serves as Coordinator of the European Retinoblastoma Group (EURbG). He is a Member of the St Jude Global Pediatric Medicine Department where he is Editor in Chief of Oncopedia at the Cure4kids portal.
