Joosje Baltussen: 64-76% of older patients treated with chemotherapy have poor outcomes after 1 year
Joosje Baltussen, Chair of Young SIOG (International Society of Geriatric Oncology) shared on LinkedIn:
“Just published in JAMA Network Open 64-76% of older patients treated with chemotherapy have poor outcomes (decline QoL/mortality) after 1 year.
In frail patients, chemotoxicity was associated with poor outcomes. Showing the need for treatment adaptions based on frailty status.”
