
Lymphoma Scientific Research Mentoring Program
The Lymphoma Research Foundation’s LSRMP provides two-year, track-based mentoring and educational support to early-career clinical and laboratory/translational lymphoma researchers—combining an intensive workshop, ongoing mentorship, and follow-up activities plus small Scholar grants to jump-start independent projects.
Eligibility Criteria

Tracks:
-
Clinical Track: Clinical fellows (≥2nd year of ACGME-accredited hematology/oncology or related fellowship) or junior faculty (Instructor/Assistant Professor ≤5 years in rank), with a clear commitment to lymphoma clinical research.

Lab/Translational Track: Postdoctoral fellows (≤8 years post-PhD), clinical fellows with translational focus, or early faculty (Instructor ≤5 years post-degree or Assistant Professor ≤4 years in rank) devoting ≥80% effort to non-clinical lymphoma research.

Timing: Applicants may not exceed track-specific time-since-training limits as of March 1, 2026 (extensions for major life events; one-year COVID allowance).

Mobility & Independence: Must propose a self-initiated, hypothesis-driven project in lymphoma/CLL and demonstrate substantial personal role in project design and execution.

Institution: Affiliation with a nonprofit academic/research institution in the U.S. or Canada for the full program duration; citizenship not required.

Mentorship: Identify a primary mentor (plus up to four associate mentors) with track-appropriate expertise and provide mentor biosketch and letter of support.

Other: Fluency in English; not concurrently in another competitive mentorship; willing to commit to all program activities.
Funding Details

Workshop & Mentorship:

Four-day in-person workshop (March 3–6, 2026, Henderson, NV) with expert faculty in small group and plenary sessions.

Virtual mock grant review (Fall 2026) and follow-up meeting at the 2027 Educational Forum.

Continued mentorship and peer networking through October 2028.

Scholar Grants: US $5,000 per year × 2 years (US $10,000 total) for professional development (courses, travel, registration) and project-related expenses (e.g., software)—no salaries or equipment; no cost extensions permitted.

Travel & Accommodation: All program-related travel and lodging covered by the Foundation.
