Shernan Holtan accepted a position as Chief of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Roswell Park in Buffalo, NY
Shernan Holtan, Chief of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Roswell Park, shared on Twitter/X:
“A personal update:
After a fulfilling decade of service at The University of Minnesota, I have decided to embark on a new chapter in 2024: I accepted a position as Chief of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Roswell Park in Buffalo, NY.
This decision was not made lightly. Serving patients and families at UMN Medical School has been an incredibly rewarding experience. We have faced challenges and celebrated victories. I am immensely proud of the progress we have made in BMT together through research and advocacy.
I am deeply grateful for the mentorship of Daniel Weisdorf and many others, the wonderful collaborators including Earl E. Bakken amongst many, the dedicated research team Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, and clinical partners at M Health Fairview.
Thank you for the privilege of learning and growing with you at University of Minnesota. We are still going to get our active projects across the finish line. Most importantly, the work we have done will help another community and beyond, and growth will continue.”
