Alarming New Findings from Anticancer Medication Samples from Sub-Saharan Africa – UICC
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“One in six anticancer medication samples collected in multiple countries in sub-Saharan Africa failed to meet international standards, according to alarming new findings published in The Lancet Group.
In the pursuit of equitable cancer care, medicine quality is non-negotiable.
UICC and the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) commit to transforming the insights from this investigation into actionable change and call for better quality and safety at every level of the supply chain to protect patients.
Find out more in our joint statement on this issue.”
