“Proud to announce that I’ll be the patient keynote at this year’s Clinical Trials Ontario annual conference on November 6 (Day 1) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The life-saving/extending advantages of clinical trials for patients is undeniable and supported by all stakeholders in healthcare and the foundations that support this work (i.e The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Fondation du Centre universitaire de santé McGill / McGill University Health Centre Foundation, Fondation de l’hôpital général juif – Jewish General Hospital Foundation)

My experience in the precision medicine cancer space has led me to be invited to serve on the molecular tumour board as patient advocate for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) flagship clinical trial TAPUR.  Also in the United States, I have been fortunate to work closely with TargetCancer Foundation and their innovative de-centralized trial TCF-001 TRACK that serves patients with rare cancers on a fully remote basis. Little known fact: about 25 percent of all cancers are rare and require highly specialized care.

Recently, my deep experience with clinical trials has afforded me the opportunity to help Canada’s leader in cancer care develop a remarkably innovative patient-centric trial design that I believe is poised to revolutionize the way cancer is managed in Canada and around the world. Can’t wait to share it with you!
