“What a great evening in Dublin Ireland .The idea from the group at the ‘Breakthrough Cancer Research‘ & the Irish Society for Immunology is to share with lay people the expertise of the scientists and physicians that are coming to speak at the ISI2024 / ECI2024 scientific meeting. First time for me to participate in this type of satellite program, but it won’t be my last! Think American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC), ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research should consider adopting similar program.
The group, Breakthrough Cancer Research was started by Prof Gerry O’Sullivan, a surgeon focused on espophageat cancer. As noted on the groups website.. Prof O’Sullivan saved plenty of lives with his skill and knowledge. But he recognized research was needed and could make a difference. His son and daughter continue to move the needle supporting efforts to Finish Cancer. Orla Dolan, Aideen E Ryan, Joanne Lysaght.”
