The Global Cardio-Oncology Summit (GCOS) is an annual conference that brings together experts in the fields of cardiology and oncology to discuss the latest research, advancements, and clinical practices at the intersection of these two disciplines. The focus is on managing and preventing cardiovascular disease in cancer patients, a growing area of concern due to the cardiotoxic effects of many cancer treatments.
The first Global Cardio-Oncology Summit was held in 2016. The summit was created as a response to the increasing recognition of the need for collaboration between cardiologists and oncologists to address the cardiovascular complications arising from cancer therapies. The event has grown in prominence and attracts participants from around the world, including physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals interested in the emerging field of cardio-oncology.
GCOS 2024 will take a place in Minneapolis Marriott City Center at September 22-24, 2024.
