“Once again, the ASCO24 theme hits me to my core.
So often we think that having a cure or treatment is ‘enough’, but we forget that it is ultimately people that have to endure the experience. People with feelings that may not always know how to process their disease in the moment, but will eventually feel all the feels. Empathy matters.
Let’s not forget the ‘care’ in ‘healthcare’. Cancer care takes a village and a little kindness goes a long way on this two-way street of life.”
