Congratulations to Professor Claire Wakefield on Her New Role at Stanford University – Brain Cancer Australia
Brain Cancer Australia shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Congratulations to Professor Claire Wakefield on her new role at Stanford University.
Claire has been appointed Director of Research at the Division of Quality of Life and Pediatric Palliative Care and Director of the QoLA Lab – leading research to improve quality of life for all children with serious illness and their families.
Claire has been a member of Brain Cancer Australia’s National Consortium since 2020, joining to support a collaborative approach that spans the full age spectrum of brain cancer patients. She believes Australia can lead the world in developing new technologies and treatments — but only if we build the right infrastructure.
‘The projects underway through Brain Cancer Australia’s National Consortium are absolutely critical because infrastructure is essential for making groundbreaking discoveries. I want to see a future where researchers have access to the data they need to answer important research questions, and patients can trust that their data is being used for the most rigorous and ethical research.’
We’re proud to have Claire as part of the consortium and wish her all the best as she continues her important work on a global stage.”
