Raymond Chan: Patient-relevant outcomes in comprehensive cancer centers vs noncomprehensive cancer centers

“Hot-Off-the-Press.
Our latest meta-analysis (1st of a 2-part series):
- Patients in comprehensive cancer centers (CCC) have 23% lower overall mortality risk compared to non-CCC
- Mixed results re time to care/palliative oncology and resource utilization
- Highlight issues on equity, lack of investigations on patient-reported outcomes, health economics, and value-based care
- Look out for Part 2 – chronological scoping review exploring the attributes and impact of on CCCs worldwide.”
