Rahul Banerjee: Congrats to Malin and the whole MSK team for this publication
Rahul Banerjee shared a post by Malin Hultcrantz, Associate Attending Physician, Assistant Professor at MSK Cancer Center, on X, adding:
“Congrats to Malin and the whole MSK team for this Blood Cancer Journal publication! Supportive care trials in MM can be done, and here colesevelam does the trick!
(In my one personal case where it didn’t, tincture of opium worked well – but this is thankfully quite rare!)”
Quoting Malin Hultcrantz’s post:
“Colesevelam is highly effective and safe for treatment of lenalidomide associated diarrhea:
– Phase 2 trial, 25 patients
– 88% improved diarrhea
– 68% complete resolution
– No effect on lenalidomide PK”
