Anirban Maitra, Professor of Pathology and Translational Molecular Pathology, and Scientific Director of the Sheikh Ahmed Pancreatic Cancer Research Center at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared the following post by Journal of Clinical Pathology, adding the following:

“If ChatGPT can reliably identify a tiny focus of signet ring cells in Gastric Cancer surveillance biopsies in a patient with germline CDH1 mutation, or a four-fold difference in nuclear sizes within a gland on a frozen section of a pancreas margin (Ralph Hruban #1 criteria differentiating Pancreatic Cancer from chronic pancreatitis) than we pathologists should create an altar for Sam Altman.”
