Mar 23 • 10:00 AM - Mar 27 • 12:30 PM
The ESTRO Particle Therapy Course

The ESTRO Particle Therapy Course will be held from March 23-27, 2025 at Maastricht, The Netherlands.

This course is designed for radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and professionals in related fields, including trainees, who are interested in particle therapy. It is aimed at individuals with a basic understanding of radiation oncology and radiation physics. Participants who are currently involved in clinical particle therapy projects, practice particle therapy, or wish to update their knowledge in this area will benefit from the course. The content covers fundamental and advanced topics in particle therapy, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge to enhance their expertise and practice in this specialized field of radiation treatment.

A key part of the program includes guidance on how to develop a particle therapy facility, from project planning to starting clinical operations, as well as expanding existing radiotherapy departments to include particle therapy. A guided tour of a local particle therapy facility will provide a real-world perspective on the implementation of the techniques discussed. Participants are required to have a basic understanding of radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiotherapy planning before attending the course.

Early date for Registration is January 10.
