“Thrilled to take on this new role as Chief Research Officer of the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine.
My goal is to make Englander Institute for Precision Medicine and Weill Cornell Medicine a key hub that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in biomedical research by integrating biology, technology, and clinical advances to improve patients’ lives!
How? A few ideas: 1-new research programs at EIPM in artificial intelligence, mathematical modeling, and functional genomics. 2- new partnerships with researchers worldwide and our partners NewYork-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medicine Meyer Cancer Center, Columbia Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Rockefeller University, Mount Sinai Health System.
We will also thoughtfully put together the building blocks from our Englander Institute for Precision Medicine amazing infrastructure and technologies to achieve true bedside to bench integration and enable the next-generation generation of clinical trials.
Immense gratitude to Olivier Elemento for welcoming me into this new role. Excited to work with you and the rest of the leadership team including Massimo Cristofanilli, Cora Sternberg and others to achieve these goals.
Thank you to current and past members of my lab for all their contributions over the years that enabled research advances in Bladder Cancer leading up to this point.
