Daniel Bastardo Blanco: XVI Childhood Cancer International LATAM Meeting brought together over 50 Latin American NGOs

Daniel Bastardo Blanco, Manager of Together by St. Jude online resource at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Thrilled to have participated in the XVI Childhood Cancer International LATAM Meeting in Guadalajara, Mexico.

This unique meeting brought together over 50 Latin American NGOs supporting families facing childhood cancer. It also served as the space where the Mexican confederation of childhood cancer NGOs, Alianza Por Una Niñez Sin Cáncer, was officially formed.

The meeting took place as part of the annual congresses of Sociedad Latinoamericana de Oncología Pediátrica (SLAOP) and Asociación Mexicana de Hemato Oncología Pediátrica (AMHOP), which this year joined forces.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to attend the First Regional Meeting of the Global Initiative against Children Cancer in Latin America and the Caribbean. Thanks to Liliana Vasquez, Soad Linneth Fuentes-Alabi, MD,MPH, and Patrícia Loggetto for the invitation.

I returned to Memphis inspired to continue improving and expanding the Together by St. Jude online resource.”
